Students at SMAN 72 Jakarta Have Transferred Schools is Untrue

Jakarta City Council's Commission E, Farah Savira denied the issue that many students at SMAN 72 Jakarta wanted to transfer schools after the explosion case some time ago.

She added that her party has requested clarification from the Jakarta Education Agency and confirmed that there has been no school transfer requests from students at the school.

"The transfer issue is untrue. Only one parent from the Education Agency has requested a transfer. The rest of the students are continuing their studies as usual," she said, Monday (11/24).

She continued that SMAN 72 Jakarta has also implemented a hybrid learning system. Last week, student attendance reached 66 percent.

"We also ask the Education Agency to continue monitoring the students' psychological well-being so they can feel safe and comfortable again while studying at school. Furthermore, school facilities must be repaired immediately," she continued.

According to Farah, her side did not yet know the parents' reasons for requesting the transfer. However, she considered the decision reasonable.

"That's each parent's preference, maybe it's about safety or other factors," she stated.
